New OSHA Injury Reporting Requirements
A friendly reminder to everyone that OSHA's new injury reporting rule is now in effect. OSHA's 29 CFR 1904 now requires that employers report to OSHA within 24hrs whenever an employee is hospitalized (actual admission; does not apply for a visit to the ER), experiences an amputation, or loss of eye injury that is work-related.
All fatalities must still be reported to OSHA within 8hrs (no change). https://www.osha.gov/recordkeeping2014/
